Para todos es una realidad la dificultad de moverse en
Bogotá. Una ciudad planeada a pedazos, sin que nadie vea sus verdaderas
necesidades. Aunque igual nos adaptamos a lo que tengamos que hacer para
cumplir nuestro objetivo de sobrevivir. Y una de esas formas en que muchos
bogotanos han resuelto su movilidad es la motocicleta.
El incremento de las mismas, en una ciudad cada vez más
masiva, está alrededor de las 40 mil cada año. Y actualmente hay matriculadas
más de 420 mil. ¿Y cómo no? si es un vehículo fácil de comprar, que lo
financian casi de inmediato, para usar en una ciudad con un clima relativamente
estable que permite usar todo el año el vehículo sin riesgo, también económico
porque el consumo de gasolina es para risas y, aparte de todas estas ventajas,
también es maniobrable y puede ser usado para adelantarse en los trancones.
Lamentablemente, acompañado de este crecimiento, hay también
un incremento en la cantidad de accidentes que involucran a motociclistas. ¿Y quién
no ha sido cerrado, obstruido, insultado por un motociclista? Los espejos y
luces están, debido a que el roce de estos vehículos con todos los demás, están
heridos, remendados, reemplazados.
Vilipendios, groserías y maltratos van y vienen entre todos
los ciudadanos que se mueven en las calles. Por ejemplo cuando uno ve motos
atravesando por los parques, zonas verdes y puentes peatonales. Vaya usted a
hacer algún reclamo para que se gane un grito y pueden hasta amenazarlo, porque
la soberbia nuestra es tanta que nunca consideramos que es nuestro error, sino
que porque otros lo hacen y nuestros líderes también hacen lo mismo y buscan el
atajo y la ventaja, entonces tenemos derecho a lo que sea.
Nada tiene de ventaja el ciudadano frente a una ciudad donde
solo se sabe hacer que la gente haga caso a la fuerza, lo que es muy costoso.
Sin considerar que la ciudadanía se forma del autocontrol, cuando cada uno sabe
que vive una verdadera justicia. No al amparo de la mala voluntad de un
motociclista, inundado de adrenalina, maltratando a los demás.
The growth of the use of motorcycles in Bogotá has gone at a high speed, it goes up by 40K motorcycles year on year, and now it has more than 420k with a licensed plate. ¿How come? The worrying thing is that this growth has come at the cost of an increase in transit accidents involving motorcycles. ¿Who has not been closed upon, interfered with, or insulted by a motorcyclist? Mirrors and lights in Bogotá’s motorcycles are constantly broken off, refurbished, mended, replaced.
Bad words and hard times are given back and forth among citizens commuting across the city. Motorcycles will take advantage of a park or a pedestrian bridge to cross as means of a shortcut, even if it is no allowed by law. And if you complain you better be ready, some motorcycle drivers don´t take kindly to any criticism they are likely to scream at you and may even threaten you or assault you, all because our arrogance blinds us to see our mistakes. But we justify our behavior due to actions of our leaders, just as they are eager to gain an advantage from others, then we are entitled to whatever we want & we can behave anyway we want.
